Aluminum foil is an aluminum alloy product with good conductivity and thermal conductivity. Its external characteristics are extremely thin, usually not exceeding 0.2 millimeters, and it has excellent ductility, toughness, and protective properties
Classification of Aluminum Foil
Classified by thickness
Aluminum foil can be divided into several types according to thickness:
Single foil: Any aluminum foil larger than 0.012 millimeters is called a single foil.
Double foil: Aluminum foil less than or equal to 0.012 millimeters is called double foil.
Single zero foil and double zero foil: Aluminum foil with a single or double zero in thickness is called single zero foil and double zero foil, respectively.
Classified by Status
Aluminum foil can also be classified according to its mechanical state:
Full hard foil: a foil that has undergone complete annealing and 75% cold rolling without further annealing.
Soft state foil: a foil that has been cold-rolled and then fully annealed.
3/4 hard foil: Its tensile strength is between full hard foil and semi-rigid foil.
1/4 hard foil: Its tensile strength is between that of soft foil and semi-rigid foil.
Classified by surface condition
The surface state of aluminum foil can also be divided into two types:
Single roll rolling: Both sides of the foil are in contact with the rolling mill, giving it a bright double-sided metallic luster.
Double rolling: Each foil has only one side in contact with the rolling mill, and the contact surface is bright, while the parts that are not in contact on both sides are relatively dark.
Classified by purpose
Aluminum foil can be divided into the following categories based on its different uses:
Packaging aluminum foil: Aluminum foil used for packaging materials.
Air conditioning aluminum foil: used for heat exchangers in air conditioning manufacturing.
Electronic aluminum foil: used for capacitors and other electronic components.
Battery aluminum foil: used to manufacture the positive electrode collector of batteries.
