6063 aluminum bar belongs to low alloy Al-Mg-Si series high plasticity alloy. It has many valuable characteristics: 1. Heat treatment strengthening, high impact toughness, insensitive to defects. 2. It has excellent thermoplasticity and can be extruded into various profiles with complex structure, thin wall and hollow at high speed or forged into forgings with complex structure. It has a wide quenching temperature range and low quenching sensitivity. After extrusion and forging demolding, as long as the temperature is higher than the quenching temperature, it can be quenched by water spraying or water penetration. Thin-walled parts (6<3mm) can also be quenched by air. 3. It has excellent welding performance and corrosion resistance, and has no tendency to stress corrosion cracking. Among heat-treatable aluminum alloys, Al-Mg-Si series alloys are the only alloys that have not been found to have stress corrosion cracking. 4. The surface is very smooth after processing, and it is easy to anodize and color.
